What are App Modes?

The Connect Mesh app has two operating modes to separate everyday control from network configuration. The app should normally stay in Control Mode for daily use, with Setup Mode only needed for initial setup or making changes to your network.

Keep the app in Control Mode for everyday use. Only switch to Setup Mode when you need to make changes to your network.

Control Mode

Your everyday interface with all the features you need for daily use:

• Control devices
• Control rooms
• Control/Create groups
• Activate/Create scenes
• Activate/Create schedules
• Setting up your Gateway

Imported networks will automatically start in control mode.

Setup Mode

The administrative interface used only when you need to:

• Set up your network initially
• Add new devices
• Create groups
• Create scenes
• Modify network configuration
• Access Expert Settings

Freshly created networks will automatically start in setup mode.
