What are "Groups"?

Short Definition

Groups are collections of devices that can be controlled together. Unlike rooms, groups are optional and devices can be members of multiple groups.

Every device can be a member of up to 14 groups simultaneously.

A device can be a member of multiple groups, but must be assigned to exactly one room. Groups can be created and modified at any time.

Groups allow you to control multiple devices at once, regardless of their location. This is particularly useful for:

• Controlling all lights of a specific type (e.g., all spotlights)
• Creating functional groups (e.g., all lights in the kitchen cabinets with glass doors)
• Controlling devices that are spread across different rooms (e.g., first floor)
• Setting up scenes that affect specific devices

A group can be marked as a favourite (In control mode: Star symbol top right), so that it appears for quick access on the Homescreen.
