Place the Device Correctly

For the best possible Bluetooth mesh radio connection between all devices, the position and alignment of the devices is of utmost importance.

Please avoid the following installation situations:

• Place devices, especially mesh boxes, directly on the (concrete) floor.
• Place devices near metallic appliances (e.g. fridge, stove, etc.).
• Place devices near the microwave.

On the other hand, positions that allow the devices to achieve the best possible radio spread and reception, e.g.

• On top of the upper cabinet
• On the back wall of the furniture
• In the lowered ceiling, etc. Ceiling lights therefore contribute optimally to good radio illumination.

The more evenly devices are distributed throughout a room, the more robust the devices' radio connection. >Thus, it is important that as many devices as possible are not all placed in one spot, but ideally distributed evenly in the room. However, only continuous-power devices contribute to the construction of the radio network. Battery-powered devices only wake up briefly when operated and then go back into sleep mode.
