Time Control

With the time control feature, you can automatically control your devices at fixed times without needing to be connected to the mesh network with your smartphone.

A schedule can be executed once at a fixed time or repeatedly on certain days of the week. The control action can consist of switching a group on or off (when switching on, the last state of the group is restored). A scene can also be invoked. The latter has the advantage of always calling a defined state. For the start action, a suitable dimming speed can be chosen. Fast - 500ms Gentle - 5 seconds Slow - 10 minutes

An end time can optionally be created for a schedule. The end action turns off all participants in the schedule. This makes those schedules which always have a starting point (e.g. on in the evening) and an endpoint (e.g. off in the morning) more comfortable.

After saving, the schedule must be transmitted to all devices. The advantage is that devices will still switch at the correct time even if other devices are not reachable or have failed. Devices to which the schedule could not be successfully transferred cannot execute the schedule. Please ensure that at the time of saving, all devices involved in the schedule are powered on.

Time Synchronization

To ensure that all devices switch at the same time, the time is kept synchronized between them. The reference time is transmitted into the mesh network every time you connect your smartphone or create/change or activate a schedule. The app must be actively running for this purpose.

Tip: For a continuous automatic time synchronization, without the need to regularly connect with the app, please use the Häfele Connect Gateway. This can regularly retrieve the current time from the Internet and synchronize it in the mesh network.

Note: The time control function is only available from app version 2.0 and firmware version 5.0.2.
