EasyPairing
Mesh devices are delivered with a new mode called "EasyPairing" with the release of app version 2.0. EasyPairing enables the commissioning of a simple mesh network consisting of exactly one group without the need to use an app or a smartphone/tablet.
Any control device can be used to set up an EasyPairing network. To start pairing, the control device must be in provisioning mode. All other devices that are to be provisioned should also already be in provisioning mode. A short press on the reset button of the control device selected as the provisioner (e.g., a remote control) starts the provisioning process. When the status LED on all devices has stopped flashing, all devices have been successfully provisioned. You can now control all devices. In addition to actuators/lights, any number of other control devices can be provisioned. All function identically. Important: For the setup, the same control device can always only be used as the provisioner. It is best to mark these devices as "Master".
Simultaneous operation of EasyPairing and the app is not possible. You either use an EasyPairing network or a network set up by the app. Networks set up by the app are better suited for medium and more complex installations where multiple groups/scenes and/or app or voice control are desired.
Note: EasyPairing replaces the "standalone mode" that was available for the remote control and the wall switch in firmware version before 5.0.x.
